Aims: For new entrants to the sector, this in an introduction to a large subject, raising awareness about acquisitions, loans, disposals

accreditation, and how these can be fed into the resulting Collections Management Policy. Also covered are collecting policies, conservation,

agents of decay, display and storage. As Documentation is a key element in collection management, this process it is looked at in more depth

through a workshop.
