Access Polices, Plans and Audits; An Introduction to Museum Ethics

Aims: Equal access is not only an Equality issue, it also makes good sense in terms of customer care. This is a half day of practical advice

about physical and intellectual access and its associated legislation in the DDA, and also includes a Disability Awareness training session. It

will help you to develop an Access policy and plan. The second half of the day explores the key issues for museum ethics through case studies.

Led by a member of the Museums Association’s ethics team, the afternoon provides an introduction to the Code of Ethics, and raises issues by

way of workshops.


Who should attend: Museum curators and operations managers.
