Aims: What is ‘the historic environment’? Does it include towns as well as urban landscapes? Why does it matter? On this two day course

students will explore Landscape Characterisation as a tool for understanding; the management of designated natural landscapes; the

management of historic parks and gardens; the importance of rural landscapes and industrial landscapes. A field trip to Much Wenlock will be

included.


Who should attend: Those involved with managing gardens or designated landscapes.
